teach your children well
You, who are on the road,
Must have a code that you can live by.
And so, become yourself,
Because the past is just a good bye.
Teach your children well,
Their father’s hell did slowly go by.
And feed them on your dreams,
The one they picks, the one you’ll know by.

Forgive me for slacking on the blog front; I’ve had bronchitis and haven’t been out and about for much liberty activism recently. While freebasing Robitussin I was highly gruntled to view the video linked below; kind of made me feel like Willy Wonka (one of my all-time favorite movies) when one of the five kids turns out not to be a rotten little punk, but rather someone with strength of character, and imagination, and hope for the future. “So shines a good deed in a weary world….”
(To spare you the suspense of following a mystery meat link, this is a presentation of the speech that 8th-grader Megan Dixon gave at the Libertarian Party’s national convention in Portland last year.)
